Lack of inspiration is sometimes caused by too much internalization (speaking firm personal experience here). New stories, fresh art, alternative perspectives can all bubble up inspiration. An artist might pull from personal experiences but it's the external experiences of others that cause the internal stories to come out of the shadows. I suggest digging deeper not pulling back. Find new limits, new depths, new insights.
