lights in silence

Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Northern Lights...  Numbers rising
With restless steps I walked alone
to that beach to be alone
I wished I could turn off that old  street lamp
I turned my camera to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of Auroras light
That split the night
a flash of green in silence
And in the peaceful  light I saw
Ten thousand colors, maybe more
Nature  talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
Nature writing songs that voices never share
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence
Fools, said I, you do not know
MoonLight  like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you
But my words, like silent raindrops fell
Auroras faded, in silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the beauty that God made
And the sky  flashed out til morning
In the beauty that it was forming
And the sign said, the colors of heaven are written on the night time walls
as nature calls
we stood and watched, in silence
