Grand Traverse Commons Old Orchard Trail
It looked pretty harmless as I parked behing the historic barns and started my hike...
Ill take the blue loop to start, the first part of the trail
.This was a welcome sight:
Now back to the trail... its beautiful, bursting with sights and sounds of summer.
As I finally reached the top it opened up into an open area, the red loop trail was narrow and at times almost absent, but I knew what I was looking for...
and this, the view I had heard was there.

For some reason I chose to continue uphill farther to the red old orchard trail. It was a steep hike for this old guy on rocky trails, it was kicking my butt!
