Today... Pondering

When I was a teenager a million years ago

I picked up an old Canon 35mm film camera,
I loaded up some film (I think I messed it up a time or two).

For quite a few years I went to Kmart bought a few rolls of cheap film took pictures of whatever I liked
then i took the film to kmart to be developed and waited, a few days maaybe a week then poof pictures!
In time they staarted to look sorta like something...
Repeat...Repeat...

All these names and numbers, all these dials and knobs and switches
Its a challenge and I found it rewarding and fun then and now
like any  hobby there is always more more more
More lenses and more new upgrades and more money to spend...

So upgraded when I could to the latest and greatest
I took a few bazillion pictures and a few were pretty good

Then life got busy and I didnt do much photography

Along the way I attempted to photograph friends and family,
and it was pretty awful

some of them still talk to me
some of them dont

So I decided that people photography wasnt my thing
and I decided nature and landscape photography was a wise direction

So jumping ahead a bit I became Peaceful Tomm
Nature photographer
Just an old man with a camera
Finding peace in nature

About 15 years ago I had sone serious health issues... almost went blind!
I couldnt work anymore life was beyond stressful
Once again photography was back in my life
getting out in nature trying to find peace

This time I received a digital camera  A bit of a new learning curve but OK
thru these years I have learned to find peace out in nature, walking along hiking trails, wandering thru the wood.   Peace was found in looking at the imperfect wonderful things in nature.

I met a few nice people along the way but mostly I found that there is peace in solitude.

Times alone with nature are good times for prayer and contemplation and mostly healing.

So I started this blog in hope of sharing not only my pictures, but perhaps the peace that I have found

Today as I write I havent posted anything in a month and I wonder if my blog still has a purpose
Health problems keep beating me up but I am still fighting to keep going

God isnt thru with me yet

Im pondering
Should I keep trying to find new things to share?
Should I give up  on this blog and accept that its time
I just dont know
